"Remember, God will never give you more than you can handle."
People repeat this frequently; I heard it when I was growing up and I hear it now. It is meant to be a source of encouragement, and it would be if I believed it were true.
But I don't.
I believe that God totally, absolutely, intentionally gives us more than we can handle. Because this is when we surrender to Him and He takes over, proving Himself by doing the impossible in our lives."

If you haven't read this sweet book, I highly recommend it. But you may want to have a tissue handy.
This quote is a great reminder for me today. We are climbing foothills over here, more than we can handle. Sometimes I'm at complete peace thinking that everything in his little brain is fine. And other times my stomach is knotted so tight it's hard to breathe deep, because something just doesn't seem right. Frankly the possibilities of what could be wrong are far more than I can handle.
We await a test in a few weeks that will tell us the results of what, if anything, is happening in that little brain of his. I try to remind myself that peace isn't found in test results, good or bad, and that having more than I can handle is really an okay place to be.

Even before I read that book I suspected that God had indeed given me more than I could handle. ;) Will be praying for you all as you wait.
